Unreal Tournament, UT, (sometimes referred to as UT99 or UT Classic or UT1 in contrast to the Unreal Tournament 2003, Unreal Tournament 2004 and Unreal Tournament 3) - a video game in the genre of first-person shooter. The game is a continuation of a series Unreal, of the same name which began the game by Epic Games, released in 1998. Unreal Tournament focused on multiplayer battles and became a successful attempt to bring the non-ideal Unreal multiplayer to perfection. The game was positioned as a direct competitor to Quake III Arena from id Software, which was released 10 days later. Despite the famous name, and formed an army of fans, which had a Quake III Arena, Unreal Tournament was able to compete with him.
